Joo.is offers six teaching tools you can use for free after signing up. Work in your browser, from reducing large images to sharing a specific scene in a video.
How to use it
- Choose the tool for your task from the descriptions below.
- Log in and open the tool under Teaching tools.
- Provide the required input, such as an image or a video URL.
- Check the result, then download or copy it to use.
Compress images
Reduce large image files to make them easier to include in resources. Check that text in the saved image remains readable.
Convert image formats
Convert between JPG, PNG and WebP. Check whether you need a transparent background before choosing the output format.
Read a QR code
Read the contents of a QR code in an image. If the URL is unfamiliar, check the destination before opening it.
Download YouTube thumbnails
Enter a video URL to get its thumbnail. Check the original video and rights holder’s terms for how you may use the downloaded image.
YouTube timestamp links
Create a video link with a start time so students can watch from the scene they need.
Create a transparent signature
Draw your signature on screen and save it as an image without a background. Check the document you will insert it into and its sharing permissions.
